Hi. I'm Steve Leathers.

I live in Portland, Oregon. I love it here.

I currently work as a social analyst for a popular video sharing website. I study large quantities of social data to provide insights that inform marketing strategy for various product areas.

Prior to my current role, I led data strataegy at UnitedMasters | Translation where I worked on clients like Meta, Diageo, and AT&T.

Before that, I worked at agencies like Ayzenberg and Swift, and before that I worked for an urban planning and design consulting firm for a little over six years. You can see some of my work here.

In a past life I also helped out with Design Week Portland, which was an absolute dream.

Years ago, I built projects for Open Engagement, a Social Practice Art conference. These have included JOYOGRAPHY (a map-based web application to in consideration of joy and space), AFFIRMATION HOTLINE (an 800-number that tells you nice things), and ARE YOU YOUR WORK? (a web-form and museum display protocol pertaining to work and identity).

Do resumés still matter? I'm not sure. Maybe they do. If you are interested, here is my resumé.
